Sharpen your blade and stretch your throwing arm, Axeletes. The WATL/BRAX Frozen Throw Winter League begins in ROANOKE on Sunday, January 9 at 6PM!

WHAT'S THIS 'LEAGUE'?

A League is an 8-week tournament where a group of individual throwers test themselves against each other. You'll throw a series of 28 matches across those weeks and be ranked according to your personal scores. The final week is a tournament seeded by score; you'll get your chance to win your own specialized throwing axe… and a lot of other prizes along the way!

HOW COMPETITIVE IS THIS?

Our League members push themselves, not others. Although we’re each doing our best to claim the title of Champion, we also believe that the best competitions are ones where everyone is having a blast. League members can expect to receive support, guidance, and encouragement from each other. You can expect to grow as you throw!

I DON’T HAVE AN AXE

No problem! We have axes that meet League requirements for folks who haven’t grabbed one of their own yet. Players and Judges are also happy to talk to you about choosing an axe to buy. No need to break the bank if you don’t want to.

IS THERE A COST?

Yes; entry into a League season costs $50 up front, with an additional $10 per week. This charge goes toward paying BRAX for operating costs, as well as a pool of funds with which we purchase awards and prizes. It also ensures that League members are genuinely invested in the season, thus keeping matchups and scheduling from being thrown into disarray.
